Job Training Partnership Act
In partnership with the Dept. of Commerce & Community Affairs and the Dept. of Human Services
SERVICES:
- Administers a Welfare-to-Work program
- Career assessment
- Job counseling
- Basic employability education
- Job Training
- Classroom & vocational training for eligible clients
- Job placement
- On-the-job training
- Summer program for youth, ages 14-21
- personnel services to businesses
- JTPA representatives are located at the Center at 407 N. Franklin St. in Danville, 217/442-3044. Satellite offices with representatives from the various partners are located at DACC and the Multi-Agency Center in Hoopeston.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Clients must meet program guidelines (depending upon program title)
- Economically disadvantaged
- Youth
- Older workers
- Dislocated
